Concept

Young people in the urban society of the 21st century are under increasing pressure. Since social structures are demanding anyway (recognition, belonging, family situations, pressure to perform, fear of failure…), the challenges are getting bigger with increasing digitalization. More and more new social platforms are increasing the already strong peer pressure. Not to mention other social developments, such as growing social inequality.

MESA VRYSI is not a criticism of digitization. We are not nature dogmatists! Nobody has to hand in their smartphone 🙂 But we believe that in the lives of many young people, dealing with nature and physical social contact are neglected. We have identified the following approaches as the 3 pillars of our workshops:

1. Dealing with alternative agriculture
In cooperation with a local gardener and 2 scientists from the Bavarian State Institute for Agriculture, we are cultivating so-called „old varieties“ that are deliberately neglected by the food industry, but are urgently recommended for cultivation by biologists.

2. Mental health and personality development.
Under the guidance of an experienced youth therapist, there are discussion groups, one-to-one talks and specific group activities, that promote team building, personality strengthening and the reduction of emotional stress.

3. Having a good time
joint leisure activities that are becoming more and more rare in the everyday life of many young people: hiking, swimming, surfing, fishing, archery, rest.
